Red barn

13 years 5 months ago #6421 by Alex
This photo was taken over a year ago during a visit in Tennessee. In the original photo the sky was blown out from a dull cloudy sky. There was nothing special about the photo, I decided to tweak the photo in Photoshop and Topaz Labs filters. Did I go over board with that drama? I like it. Hope you do to! But feel free to post your opinions.

I like this photo, those clouds look like some serious weather is brewing up.

I think I would straighten the barn a little but, I like it just as it is too. Nice job !

I like the contrast of the hay and the red with the paint pealing

Beautiful photo! I love the contrast of the colors, however you must remember what your focal point is... Is it the hay bales, the barn or the clouds? I'm sure it's not the clouds so, as dramatic as they are and very interesting, I would make them a little less sharp and not as prominent in the photo so the clouds are not the first or second thing your eyes go to.

I like the barn, but the clouds are a bit strong for me

The barn almost seems to have a 3D effect over the clouds

Excellent shot; the fill-frame theme worked well here

It looks like there is a story or even a movie depicted in the photo. Ghosts lived in the barn after an old man and his daughter were killed and buried under the southwest corner. Every year on November 24th their images appear in those top two window openings; but they last only an hour or so and fade away... [Let you imagination go...!!!]

Actually I like the photo. I don't think you went overboard. The clouds add to the picture.
