Falls of Neuse

The name of this place is a little misleading as "The Falls" are never more than a foot or so and the water depth is usually 2 feet.. but it is a pretty idyllic place.. C/C welcomed.. thanks for looking..

Thanks, David.. appreciate that.. I replaced the image with a "save for web" version because it looked too dark but this isn't any better.. hmmmmm? It's much brighter on my Zenfolio page.. color-space discrepancies, maybe?

I've had lightness/darkness and sharpness issues on PT also. They never look as they do in/on any other page, program, or printed form and i'm not sure why. oh well..

Yeah, thats a nice photograph and it looks like a nice place to return to and take under different light. Also looks like a nice place to play w/some closeup/abstract type shots w/the rocks and rushing water reflecting different lighting conditions. I'd like to take more photographs like that. I like gentle streams/rivers like that. :)

Thanks, Karl... definitely on my list of "gobacks".. I wanted to walk out into the water but they had the dam open and with the turbulence I couldn't see the bottom clearly.. not too keen on falling in, losing a camera, or re-injuring my back!
Appreciate the comments - means a lot.

Midrange telephotos work well ! :) Keeps you out of the water and your back safe. Reflections, rushing water and rocks make for some fun photography. This is the kind of stuff i want to do more of.
