If you want to have some fun, study that wide angle shot. When you look at it, look at it with an imaginary picture frame with different sizes and orientations (horizontal/vertical) in your eyes. I'm willing to bet you can come up with many other compositions w/in that same photo that also compliment this scene. A good exercise in "seeing" the landscape and adding to you creative ability. Practicing this will give you the vision to expand your creativity in composing a scene. :)

The practice of seeing a composition never ends :D It's ongoing.... and alot of fun too!
Wide angle shots are some of my favorites! They look especially good early morning and evening when the light is colorful and soft. Also, with snow shots, the colorful light is reflected around and can make for some interesting pictures.

and the last glass of champagne has been drunk

It looks very dark for an afternoon picture. I can see it's cloudy, but changing the settings or post processing would help lighten it up. Also, be careful not to leave so much of an open space (the sky), it sticks out like a sore thumb.
