What are you guys using and how have you liked/disliked them? How long have you owned it? If I were to buy just 1 lens for landscape, which one would you recommend to me? Have you had success with tele-converters?

Most Landscape shots are done with wide angle lenses although they can be shot with most any focal length. I use a 20mm Nikkor & a 21-35mm Sigma for most of my landscape shots. If you have a crop sensor camera you might want something a bit wider. Remember though that wider also means it costs more. Oh and remember to get & use a hood as most wide angles have a propensity to flare.

How do you like the 20mm Nikkor lens?

I like it a lot but as I said, use a hood to cut down on flare....Here's a shot I just did recently up at a winery in the North Georgia mountains

Any PC-E or TS-E (depending on your brand) lens is the best IMHO. I plan to get a 24 PC-E and a 85 PC-E this year.

As was previously mentioned you can shoot landscapes with any lens but primarily wide angle lenses are most common. This also depends on your distance from your subject. Here is a shot I took in Alaska with a 300mm telephoto lens

For wide I use my 10.5 fisheye. If Im shooting an object and draw in say a mountain closer as well then it is anything else I have from 80mms and up. If I want a huge moon in the photo the my 80-400 VR set to whatever focal length gives me the effect I want. What really matters is what are you wanting to get from the scene dictates the right lens. They are just tools to get that.
