PolarPro Peter McKinnon Variable ND Filter

2 months 2 weeks ago #653188 by MYoung
Have any of you dropped the $250 for each of these filters?  Can you share your experience and thoughts on these filters please?  I have decided to move on getting a variable ND.  YouTube pushed a video from this Peter guy to me.  Just want to know more about these.

ND filters are essential gear for video productions and
to control DoF and SS. I got one in my bag.

My only concern is the colour cast they may eventually
have… is it controllable? In any case, one should operate
an ND along with a grey card.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Yep, like a good tripod or camera bag, a good set of filters will last you and likely won't be cheap.  I'm using a different brand, but Polarpro seems to get decent recommendations.

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8

I have their normal ND's and these filters were a little pricier than some other filters, but I'll say they are very nice.  Color tones are pretty tight.  yeah, go for it.  Or wait for Black Friday and hope they show some discounted love!

Ehhh, better priced options out there. Split the cost of this about 40% and this be a good deal.
