Can Profoto lights be justified these days?

3 months 1 day ago #663661 by Sassy Girl
There was a blog post I thought I had saved from a few months ago that spoke about Profoto just wasn't worth the $$ these days or rather the price couldn't be justified with the likes of brands like Godox around.

I can't seem to find the blog post, but have been reading more and more reviews about photographers jumping ship elsewhere and using Godox.

What do you think?  I meant to post this a while ago, but honestly forgot.  So here you go.

That's a good question, I asked a similar question to my photography club a couple weeks ago. Not just with Godox, there are a number of really good options coming out that cost way less than some of the big brands (pricier brands to).

In my operations, I could not go without either Profoto
or Broncolor. I NEED absolutely to trust all my gear and
this specially on location.

Other makers work well but none will stand behind me in
the middle of a job should anything happen.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Pro's use this gear for good reasons.  Lesser priced will work, but won't deliver the same quality and reliability.
