Godox trigger compatibility with Neewer strobe?

I have a Neewer studio strobe and just ordered the GoDox X1-C TTL trigger and receiver set on B&H for $85.   https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341967-REG/godox_photo_equipment_x1c_ttl_remote_controller.html

But now I was just thinking, will this even work with my Neewer strobe?

Unlikely. A company would have zero value in make their equipment compatible with other brands. You'll need a trigger from Godox.

Nope, not going to work.  You'll need either Godox lights to go with that trigger you just got, or Neewer trigger to go with your existing strobe.

Won't work, you'll need to stick with the native brand.

Why is Godox do popular, aren't they just ripping off all the higher end companies stuff?
