Anyone make their own lighting?

For the budget minded photographers, has there been much discussions or DIY instructions for making your own lighting? Backdrops, light boxes, etc..

as far as backdrops, I have found that king-sized flat sheets work very good. You can buy them at certain "BIG" stores for about $12.50 in the 200 thread-count, and if you don't like the plain colors you can add custom highlights with fabric paint and an air brush.

Last year I made myself a 24" square frame for a light tent using PVC pipe from Home Depot, then bought some white nylon to finish it off. The whole thing cost me $28.00, and it works perfectly :cheer:

I have some simple Smith Victor lights and some reflector paper I picked up from craft store that works when I need it.
