:welcomeclan I'm so glad to see your posts from this morning - Afternoon there in Africa no doubt.

Well done Maria. I've inserted your images into the text block for you. Look for the insert button that appears after you upload a image into your post.

The flower looks a little soft to me. I'm not sure if this is because of focus or perhaps lack of contrast...

Forks seems a little overexposed - not bad for a silver object on a white background.

Hook is a fantastic composition and the colors really pop.

Rose certainly looks the part. The way you filled the frame with color is a powerful way to present your subject.

:judge: :judge: :judge: :judge:  I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Cool shots, I agree # 1 is not crisp, really like the hook........ :judge:

You will not be judged as a photographer by the pictures you take, but by the pictures you show.

Very nice. :agree: with Charles (chasrich) on the critiques. You may want to try the forks on a black background - possible velvet or felt.
Keep them coming.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thank you all for all the valuable inputs. I feel honored to be part of this forum. Still have so much to learn. Only started my course Oct last year.

Chasrich, Thank you so much for the photo inserts and all your comments, I will certainly take that to heart as I'm so excited about photography and want to learn as much as possible. Text books can only take you so far...

The forks are indeed overexposed, as we had to do overexposed (high key) as well underexposed (low key).

Agree with Charles on all his points and would add that these are more close up than macro, but very well done, some great compositions. :judge: :judge: :judge:
