Hey everyone,
have you ever tried to take a photo of your iris?
In this video I show simple tricks how to get amazing iris photos. I give tipps how to take the picture and how to remove reflections and shadows afterwards in adobe premiere pro and lightroom. No photoshop skills needed;)

Whether it was inspired or not, I disagree with quite a bit of what is suggested in that video.

Making an iris perfect is not always a good thing.

And despite the assertion of not using PS, he edits the iris to remove unwanted elements. It's a specious claim, as PS is simply an pseudonym for editing.

Lighting suggestions are reasonable, but they really all come down to even lighting and managing reflections. IMO working with the colors (H/S/L) and tone/contrast and sharpness are also all good things to manage in post.

So: "no Photoshop"? Meh. Edit to get what you want.
