Iris Spike is from my The Beauty Within collection and was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC.  I liked the serrated edge, tapered tip, and colors of the spike, but I purposefully left it in the middleground as I felt that the open flower was the star of the show.

If you explore the Flora gallery at my web site (link below), you'll find some full flower images.  I don't do too many of those as I prefer the look and feel of macro and abstract macro.  The link is a page with thumbnails.  Use the left and right arrows at the top and bottom to scroll through the pages and click a thumbnail to see the full sized version.  Enjoy.  :-)
