Silver Ladybug

I was just reading fotozone's post about chasing the Red Dragonfly and it reminded me of a similar incident.

I went out back to admire my garden and I noticed this silver Ladybug on a post. I have never seen anything like this before and, because I need to document anything new that I see, I ran inside to get my camera.

When I got back, the beetle was still there but flew off before I could capture an image. So I chased it around the yard until it finally landed in the grass.

I later identified it as a Dogwood Calligrapha Beetle. I have not seen one since.:(

Excellent. That is an unusual creature.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.
