Spooking the birds can be done any number of ways. Stand up seems to be the universal sign of hostility or aggression... With the Osprey I screeeeee at them when I get close enough. The air horn works really good but then you can't hear for a bit...

Mostly I just crowd their space as slowly as possible. They'll let you know when they get nervous enough. I do anticipate the squat just prior to flight. That seems to be the universal sign of "oh poop!"... :rofl: :rofl: :woohoo:
