1000's of Lady Bugs!

12 years 6 months ago #153526 by Alex
So we were hiking our way up to the top of Trabuco Canyon and we came across this log that no joke had 1000's of lady bugs on it! One lady bug is beautiful creature to look at, two lady bugs together is something you don't see that often, but beautiful. 1000's of lady bugs on a single log is kind of creepy! Take a look and let me know what you think.

Must have been something on that log that attracted them

There's a spot on a hiking trail near me where I see that from time to time, too. I'm sure I have some pictures of it somewhere, I should take a look at them and see if it looks like the same type of tree. Maybe some particular type of tree is a natural place to find them congregated?

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'm kind of disappointed with the colors in the image after upload.

rmeyer7, sure let's see what you have. I would say it was the log, but they were all over the ground too? Might need to Google this. B)
