My rendition of trying to do that wasn't quite that good!. Matter of fact it wasn't good at all.  Very nice though. You make it look easy.

I actually like it that far to the left. The focused stare and curved posture makes it work. The curvature creates a diagonal composition which I think contributes to why it works by being so far from the left. Plus the eyes is more or less in the lower left point of interest.

I'll attach a photo where I show how I mean that it's a diagonal composition.

I like the original but would like to see maybe a half inch to an inch more on the left. No more than that.

Yeah! i think it is too far left. I think an inch right will improve it.

As one can see, there is no room for an inch, I was just
suggesting to remove the disturbing objects to increase
cropping possibilities.
