I Had an Accident This Morning • VIEWER'S DISCRETION

As I was going to a client this morning, driving alone on a winding
hill side road, a small deer landed on my way! I didn't see it coming
and I could not avoid it. Bang and that was it.

I felt bad then and still do. A friend, trying to cheer me up said: "You
know, this is not the usual way to hunt a deer!" Given the laws in this
country, I made sure I documented the event… just in case,

Yikes, that's rough. Just yesterday I saw a dead deer... floating near a waterfall at Watkins Glen State Park. That was genuinely terrifying. The world really can be really morbid and disgusting sometimes, even without our influence (hopefully that helps in some twisted way).

Last Autumn, I witnessed a juvenile female Goosander
kill a young Great Crested Grebe and I did not feel any
easier then! What disturbs me the most is the apparent
non sense… but Nature has rules that escape me.

Whow! That's heart breaking. I know it is not intentional bu the incident is saddening. Are you fine now?

Yes, thank you for asking. What scared me most was the
small road and the rather steep and long hill slopes.

Glad you’re ok, but trying to find out why you’re showing a dead deer.

Because had I shown the super cute live thing, you'd hate me for ever for having killed it!

Seriously?
  • Did I have contributed enough to the wildlife section to suggest my deepest respect for it?
  • This is an event that can, should be documented. The horror is not in the body but in the useless lost of a young and beautiful life.
  • Maybe this is a way to get on with mine.
  • I know some would have preferred to show the damage to their vehicle but only the plate was slightly warped… rather insignificant compared with the consequences.
Is it too shocking? I could ask to have it removed.

Wow! Glad you're OK NS. Freaky things happen when you least expect them.

The advantage with reindeer is that they announce
their every move with all the bells they wear!
