Adrenaline Rush of Shooting in the Jungle

In a former life, I worked for a World Renown Archaeologist/Anthropologist Dr. Richard Hansen and spent time in the Mirador Basin of Northern Guatemala on one of our many digs. This is a virgin rainforest and happens to have the highest concentration of jaguar in the world. I was in a tree next to a watering hole miles away from the main camp in the middle of nowhere. They are called the White Lipped Peccary and are considered dangerous. They are known to kill jaguar defending themselves. I had to tie myself into the tree to avoid falling. If I had fallen out these guys would have chewed my leg off.

Leave spaces between the photos. I think you need to work on the composition of the shots.

Wow! What an adventure you have here. I was wondering why at first the perspective is on top. Now, I understand.

Yea, I was alone for about 3 hours. I had to wait until the guide came back to get me before getting out of the tree.

How long did you stay on to of that tree?

Aaron - I was up in the tree for about 3 hours. As you can imagine my legs got pretty cramped. In light of the fact jaguars and the Fer-de-lance viper which we have a lot of in the Mirador Basin climb trees, the adrenaline kept me going.
