What a Shame!

Across the first arm of water at the marsh, this juvenile dead swan.

Even with the 600mm ƒ4, no chance to see what was the cause of
death… speculations on any behavioural consequence is useless.

What a shame… not even a year old.

Very sad. I spend a lot of time outdoors and see this a lot. Nature is cruel.

Why so serious?

A visit to the marsh today revealed feathers
all over the place which suggests the body is
being cleaned up for the health of all residents.
