Rebirth and Recovery

G'day all

Areas of southern NSW that were badly bushfire affected last summer season are now showing signs of recovery.  There are huge areas of burned out forest, sometimes over 50km wide, needing heaps of roadworks as well, and now to see trees covered in "green fur" as they also go through R & R

Here's a view from the roadside ...

As always, feedback welcome

The patterns are pretty, and what warms the heart is knowing that they are all recovering.

Great capture ;  shows it perfectly .  I was surprised at how soon and quickly a lot of these areas started to recover,  thought it would take much longer .

G'day all

Thx for your feedback
FYI- Aussie eucalypt trees regenerate via fire - and so long as the fire has not reached the core of the trunk, it will recover via putting out hundreds of small shoots up the trunk (ie- the green fur you can see in the main pic) so that it can soak up large amounts of the sun's energy

Once recovery is well under way, these shoots will fall away and the main canopy of leaves will take over and continue for the main part of the tree's regrowth
