Your original topic was about flash techniques and ended with a review of "personality" showing up in your photos...
I do believe you've conquered both issues!! Technical and Personal - Stunning Work! Especially the 2nd image.. and, the last one, to me anyway, is a world-class advertising image..

I take it you checked out Mappelthorpe's flowers. I do "feel" something in these I didn't before. Very nice!

Don't copy the mediocre photographers when you can copy the best. Their work is online too.

Aim high.

Thank you very much. I brought out the tripod which allowed me such a long exposure and high F-stop. I did some de-saturating of the first one, and inverted the last. I am still learning to PP in RAW and all that it allows, my previous photoshop didn't process RAW very easily and so it's a new medium for me. I was trying to find a voice with these flowers as well as technically sound works. I had more confidence putting these up. Thank you again for the kind words.

Thanks for posting the data. It gives insight as to what you were thinking technically and also the direction you were trying to achieve. Very nice work.:judge:

The important thing is they don't look like everyone else's flower pics. There is thought (and creativity) behind them. Being an artist doesn't require you can draw a straight line. It's more about dreaming of a curved one.
