Visited the local eagle's nest this week and mama was making sure I knew she was there. Some days, just the young ones have their heads poking out,


Overcast day so I gave her a touch of blue sky to cheer her up.

Nice shooting... I'll trade you a dozen osprey for one of your eagles. I saw one several months ago but none since then. There are a lot of new ospreys on the hunt now as Summer approaches.

Thanks. The ospreys have moved up the river a bit since the eagles will steal their catch. I'm trying to locate them and to find another eagle's nest nearby. The eagles have been out in the bay but not on the trees. Maybe when (and if) the rain stops, they will be back near shore.

Boats are not real practical in this part of the Bay of Fundy.
These are shots at low tide, a high tide and a very high tide, all taken from next to the cottage. Tide changes here are up to 51 feet. The bay here is about 3 miles across. Low tide is more mud than water.
