Can anyone ID this flower?

With a wild guess I'm gonna say... North American Wild Flower.

Actually I have trouble telling a flower from a bush. I do like them though. Some of them are quite tasty.

LOL - I took a photo just the other day (9 June) of the same flower - or the same species, to be more exact. My photo was taken in a garden in Norway, so these parts it's a garden flower, is my guess.



Anyway, the best way for finding flower and plant species is to take photos of the leafs/bring home leafs, not the flower.

My wild guess would be Centaurea montana . But that's just me guessing.

Thanks for the help! I'm pretty certain its the Centaurea Montana, I had a email during the night from a friend and amateaur botanist during the night as well confirming the ID.

Excellent captures BTW and feel free to use this thread to ID plant and fower species in the future...I know I will! Thanks again everyone!
