Black spots on photos

Hi All,

Hope you're well.

Something weird is happening to some recent photo's that i've taken with my Nikon D800 & 24-70mm Nikon Lens.

It doesn't happen consistently but occasionally i'll be reviewing a photo which I've just taken and notice half a dozen black spots across the image.

I then clean the lens and retake the shot again and the dots appear in the exact same spot.

Has anyone experienced this before? Or have any idea what it might be?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers,
Luke

It's likely you have some dirt on your sensor. Best to get it cleaned by a Nikon repair shop.

This is probably the ticket. In lieu of a local shop or learning to do it yourself, Nikon service does a great job and will lube and adjust the camera and install firmware updates as well. (CLA). I usually send a body in every couple years or so.....;)

Why so serious?
