Any Nikon users using aftermarket lenses?  Can you post which ones you have.  Thank you

Older manual focus & newer auto focus lenses from Sigma, Tamron, Vivitar, et al...
. This is an image shot back in 2008... The collection has grown since then with few being deleted...What types of focal lengths/types of lenses are you looking at ?

I'm thinking you mean to ask which non-Nikon lenses are recommended by those that own them?

What you don't share is your focal length of interest. There are a lot of lenses out there. If you could narrow the field a bit, you might spur some interesting conversation.

WOW, that is one collection!  How many of those do you still use?

Sadly, I do not use them all as much as I should. Maybe time to cull the "Herd"

Y'all are hoarders and need professional help. That's just sad.

Its simply not worth selling them anyway, they make a nice display and ALWAYS a conversation starter for those that visit. (Except my mother in law, who just gives me and the collectibles dirty looks).....
Every one is in perfect operating condition, btw

Yeah, Some of mine are from when I started 35mm back in the late 60's... Lots of time to accumulate lenses. Then the sell off with AF & again with Digital made the older lenses worth pennies on the dollar on the used market. Plus they all work (meter) with my cameras so why not keep them ? Call us hoarders if you want, but we won't lack for a focal length when needed. Most of the "advances" in lens technology are not optically inclined & those that have improved optics, well many of those improvements are incremental & not seen in most shooting situations. Add to that the fact that many of the corrections can now be done in post anyway. Yeah, VR can't, but I lived without VR for all these years & I can still do so (That said, I do have a few lenses with VR). Many of mine were considered "Pro" caliber lenses when they came out & were not cheap. My go to macro lens is from the mid 1980's & , even though I have newer AF macro lenses, the older one still delivers.....

Yeah, my two main macros are my Nikon 105 f/2.8, fairly modern, and a 200f/4, nearing twenty five years old, and definitely pre digital....;)
