My afs 300 f/4 has made the quick trip to hard surfaces a couple times. Its af is freezing at times and needs manual coaxing....:(

Is it optional now, or just no foot period?  If so I guess you'll have to go 300 f/2.8 :(

I get effective 500 now, 300 plus TC 1.7. I want what I want....
