Nikon DSLR video compared to Canon DSLR?

8 months 3 weeks ago #632110 by Drew Fletcher
I'm a Nikon owner and love my cameras, but notice that most video people are shooting with Canon's.  Actually it's either Canon or Sony.  Is Nikon just not good for video, or AS good as other options?

Curious on why is that or is there a Nikon body that is good for professional quality video.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

I'll take, "they don't know what they're doing" for $200, Alex.

If you want video, then Panasonic.

The Canon people think that skin tones look better. I do not. Too pink. Sony? Meh. Whatever. Good high ISO performance, but so does Nikon.

N.B. pluralization never requires an apostrophe. Really, it doesn't.

Panasonic over Canon and Sony? Are you speaking about that new SR1 or older 4/3rd like GH5?

In general, ever. But I believe that the G series bodies, for that comparison, do a better job. I also think their 3 CCD cameras are superior to competing equipment.

Again, my (somewhat studied) opinion.

I had dinner with my friend Robert (who is a multimedia
J.U. teacher) this weekend and he stated that the newer
Nikons could do now what slower moving Canon can't.

All the, chineese to me, tech stuff he was saying I did not
catch but I think recent reviews should answer you title
question.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
