Vignetting with Nikon 28-300mm??

I have this lens and it's a 'OK' lens.  For traveling it's awesome and I highly recommend it.  I have used it with polarized filter and you will get some vignetting.

This shot was taken last week in Turkey using this lens mounted on Z7

Make: NIKON CORPORATION
Model: NIKON Z 7
Lens: 28.0-300.0 mm f/3.5-5.6
ISO: 640
Aperture: f/16.0
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec

You can you use almost any F-mount lens on any F mount Nikon camera. AF-S is safe everywhere; DX vs. FX is a concern. And the older lenses (non-motorized, Ai, etc) may not be a good match.

That said, your D500 will accommodate almost every lens. A quick web search (who knew?) found this as the first link:

It's a decent lens for the price range.  I have the lens and it's great for when you just want one lens with you.  However if you have the Trinity set of glass with you, use your 2.8.  What is strange, is I'll only see vignetting with a polarized filter on it.  If I have  a solid ND on it, no problems.  Very strange, but that has been my experience.
