Will Nikon have APS-C mirrorless camera like Z6?

APS-C cameras have always crushed the number of sales compared to full frame cameras.  With the Z7 and Z6 now been out for a bit, will Nikon bring to market a APS-C version of this mirrorless camera with smaller body?

Seems like a logical path for them.

Seems like a logical place for Nikon to jump into.  However I haven't heard anything on the radar for them yet.  Perhaps towards September or October we might see something.

Just guessing, but I would be surprised to see anything this year.  My guess is Spring 2020.

I'd be all over this camera!  Especially if Nikon can get the price under $1500.

1000% the will. It's only a matter of time before we'll see an APS-C mirrorless camera from Nikon.  Z5 sounds pretty good for a name.

I'm beginning to lean towards Nikon and Canon eventually doing away with APS-C. The price is coming down to where full frame is taking over. The only reason APS-C came into being was cost of the sensors were significantly cheaper than full frame.

Yes, I agree… and supporting two systems where the growth
of smart phone tech is challenging that market segment.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Keeping that in mind, Nikon and Canon both want to catch up to Sony.  So having a lower cost mirrorless camera to gain that market share would still be in their best interest.
