Tilta cage for Nikon Z6?

4 years 10 months ago #648470 by Matt Nguyen
The Z6 and Z7 have been out for a little while now.  How come it's so hard to find variety of L brackets and cages for these cameras?

8Sinn Nikon Z6/Z7 Cage sold on B&H is special order www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1447091-R...ikon_z6_z7_cage.html .  Only other option I could find for cage is made by Small Rig, which I just didn't like.  Why doesn't Tilta offer one for Nikon Z line?  A friend of mine has one of their Sony cages and that's a nice chunk of metal!

OK, I hope more manufactures step up their game soon.

8Sinn is going to be your best bet.  Tilta only has Nikon D800/D810 shown oddly enough under the Canon page.  Nothing shown for Z line.

Oh thank you, that one looks great.  That looks like the ergonomics will fit comfortably.

I was going to say to hold off and wait for Tilta, but just Googled that 8Sinn company and hell yeah, go with that one, that cage looks like it's meant for these cameras.

A buddy has one of their GH5 cages, it's very well built.   They seem to be more conformed to the camera bodies lines.

These are all just another way to separate people from their money.... Are they really needed?

True, but if you are doing video work, you'll love having a cage.  You can mount lights and mics where you want.

Just looking at both, the 8sinn (what does that name mean??) looks much nicer and better form fitting for handling.  Just my 2 cents.   I don't like the boxy look of the others.
