S Lens Roadmap Leaked?

Ran across this tonight; it may or may not be valid (SLR Lounge by way of Nikon Rumors).

Finally, some good news: an 85 f/1.2, and a (new) 135 f/1.8. Now they need a better body than the Z7.

I'll probably move in '21 or '22, depending upon what kind of work I want to do....

Nikon sure is cautious it seems. Those upgrades would be great, but I'm still waiting on the micro af-d 200 f/4 redo, a fine optical lens but very slow to focus and clumsy.
I'm also watching and will most certainly go mirrorless at some point, no need to upgrade my DSLR.

Why so serious?

Yeah, a newer long macro would be great. I keep looking at the 200 f/4D, but can't convince myself of any need.

I'm curious why the 28mm f/1.8 if there is already a 24mm f/1.8 out?  Is there really a market or need to have such a close focal length in your bag?  Plus they have two 35mm, granted one is much faster than the other.

Why are they offering a 65? Why is there an F-mount 58 and a 50? I don't see the point, but clearly others do.

The 35 is easy: cost. The fast one will cost much more. And some of us like the idea of f/1.2 lenses.

Its got great optics, but needs to be switched from auto to manual focus by a clumsy button and the af is painfully slow.  You should wait for an upgrade....if you have the decades of time.
Edit...Introduced in Dec, 1993....

May, after it had been on sale for a bit. I wanted it before my Ireland trip. Very, very happy with it.

Yep it's looking pretty good for Z mount.  Let's see if Nikon can keep on scheduled with these and keep prices in check.
