Nikon warranties transfer to second hand buyer?

I'm going to be picking up a D850 used before the end of the year.  If this camera is new enough, would the original warranty time transfer over to me?

Nikon warranties are not transferable. The only way to have a warranty would be if the seller gave you the original sales receipt and that they never registered the camera with Nikon..

Dealers will help in this when good business is at stake
but it is a privilege not granted by internet purchases.

Dealers might offer used gear insurance, but they have nothing to say about Nikon policies.....

Nope, that is a big no go.  Sorry.
