How old is the lens? Did you buy it new? You realize Nikon glass has a FIVE year warranty?
I hope you can repair it, I wouldn't try.....

I bought it as new in 2008, so that’s 11 years old. It’s no warranty at all. That’s why I tried to fix it. After the autofocus doesn’t work, I bought a 24-70E Vr. But the new 24-70E as not sharp as 24-70G. Maybe if I fixed it I’ll keep them all...lol

The focus motor is on its way to me. I’ll record another video for replacing it.

That's not quite true/correct. Read this, for starters:

https://photographylife.com/reviews/nikon-24-70mm-f2-8e-vr

As is often the case, "it depends." If your metric is close-up shots, then you'll see consistent softness across the image. If your metric is of things farther away, they'll be sharper across the image.

Thank you for your information. I’ll compare them after I repaired my 24-70G.
