Best Nikon full frame camera for the money 2019

I'm going to make the jump and already listed my D7100 up for sale.  I'm thinking the D810, D750 or Z6. Will the SB-5000 flash I have work on the mirrorless Z6 if I end up getting that camera?

The D810 is still a lot of camera and you can get them "cheap". That would be my pick.

Why so serious?

I would suggest the Z6.  I was in the exact same boat as you.  Matter of fact I still have my D7100, and I also own the Z6.  The Z6 just feels better, the photos are amazing, if you will be shooting video, the video is bad ass.  You will need to invest in new glass.  If you have the adapter, you don't need to.  However I used the adapter just a few times, I don't like the added length it added to my set up.

Nikon is pretty good about backward compatibility, I think you'd be fine.

If you would go to the Nikon site, Mirrorless, Z6 (Learn More), then Accessories, then Speedlights, you see that the SB-5000 is listed as compatible.

I would suggest enthusiastically the D810.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Currently, the D850 is on sale for less than the D810. And even when not on sale, the D850 is a better value for a $300 US (10%) difference in price.

The Z7 is even less (as of this writing).

The OP hasn't really done his homework.

Value-wise, of those listed by the OP, the best value is the D750. A great camera at a really low price.

My suggestion was within the eye-balled options by the OP.

The D810 is a good camera, but I agree with Hook, for the small difference in current values the D850 would be my choice.
