Hey guys, what exactly does the "x5" mean on this? Under movie quality settings.

Nevermind, found it on Google.  Slow motion.

My first search showed a zillion possible answers, but didn't seem like right answers.  Changed up how I put my entry into Google and found my answer.  Thanks anyway guys.

You do know that those things come with a User's Guide, right?

So, you're saying we should actually read those guides?

Why so serious?

No, I'm saying that they're available when one needs to learn something about the product. Because opening a PDF and searching for a keyword (like "quality") takes very little time and gets one an answer in very short order.

N.B. the second hit for "quality" in the manual is in the TOC: "Frame Size, Frame Rate, and Movie Quality". Seems suspiciously appropriate. On (the referenced and hyperlinked) page 114 there's a table with a big ol' "x5" right in the middle of the page. Maybe it's just me, but this seems relevant to the question.

I could be wrong.

OP, I hope you don't mind me asking.  But that camera shoots in 120, so how is this different?
