Sigma flash used with Nikon D810

As I mentioned in another post here.  I'm going to be teaching myself automotive photography and wondering about light sources right now.  Specifically I'm going to get some new flash heads.  I have  noticed that if I go with Sigma flashes, I can save a few bucks over Nikon flash heads.  But how are these?  Are there any negatives?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Carter.

in that kind of work, multiple light sources are severe pre-
programmed headaches.

You should investigate going for a single waaaay more po-
werful source with proper radio and reflector accessories.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

First of all, forget Nikon speedlites.

Second, if you want speedlites, look to Yongnuo or comparable.

Third, the above suggestion is about compositing/focus stacking. Lighting one part of the car at a time and shooting it, then putting it all together in post. You'll need a good tripod, and a good flash unit (strobe) to use that approach, plus flags, scrims and reflectors.

Gridded/normal reflectors is the necessary stuff as
a construct is the final result.
