Would you buy or wait?

I'm after a Z6, would you buy now or wait till the Z8 comes out?  When the Z8 comes, the prices should come down.  But the big question is, when will the Z8 come out?

Not necessarily.

I see the Z6 and Z7 as different classes of body. Like the D7xx and D8xx. The introduction of the D850 didn't impact the price of the D750 at all.

There is no ideal time. If you want the Z6, buy it. If you want to wait for a sale, do that, then buy it. No matter when you buy it, it's value will start to decline. That's just the way it works.

I only buy what I need. Buying what I want had got me
running on the market places like a headless chicken.

Buying what I need is a business decision so I will deci-
de my moves with that aspect in mind.

FYI, I'm pretty sure Adorama has $200 rebate going on with the Z6 right now.

If you really want a Z6, I would hang on a little longer until they announce the Z6s and Z7s. I think these will be announced before a Z8. The Z6s will definitely move the Z6 down in price. The question is do you NEED it now or do you just WANT it now?

+1 yep, just what I was going to say.  I bet by the October time range, prices will come down with further rebates/sales.

I don't think we will see anything else from Nikon for this year.  I would pick up the Z6 if you need the camera now vs waiting.  Waiting, I think you'll be into 2021 before seeing anything on the Z8.

Canon 5D Mark II, 30D, 40D, 50 1.2L, 16-35 2.8L Mark II, 24-105 4L IS, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS, 85 1.8, 4 x 580 EX(II)

Nikon Z8 is expected to arrive at the end of 2020 OR 1st quarter of 2021. So, it's up to you to wait for it or to buy Z6.

Your D750 is a very capable camera that permits you
to wait — and possibly change your mind.

Honestly, go for the Z6.  Better price and it's a great camera!

Hey Gary, do you think we will see a replacement for the D850 or will Nikon go full tilt to mirrorless?  My husband is after a D850, but I was telling him to wait there might be a replacement coming for it.

If you really want the Z6 please buy it. I do not have much idea about why you sell Z6. Please explain.
