Adapter for Nikon Z lenses to work on F mount cameras?

At some point I plan to move to a Z mount camera, but not anytime soon.  However it would be great that I can slowly start investing into the Z mount ecosystem by picking up lenses, then jump into a Z mount camera.

Is there such an adapter?

Sigh... we really need a sticky thread on each camera forum. This is asked every week or so. You can't put mirrorless lenses on a mirrored camera. The registration distance from the lens to the sensor would mean the lens would have to be inside the camera body. This is not physically possible. If you want to move to a Z system incrementally, you need to start with a Z body and adapt F mount lenses until you can switch over your lens system. You can't go with the Z lenses before you get the Z body.

This should be self-evident except for people new to cameras...

It should bring forwards the flange difference
that may work one way but not the other!

Light is free… capturing it is not!
