Flash Photography Trend

1 month 1 week ago #698733 by atsushijc
Hello,

First time to post here. I've learned photography almost entirely by watching youtube videos.

Recently I've decided to learn  flash photography, so I searched material on youtube.

I'm surprised to find that most instructional videos on flash photography are 5~10 years old, and there are very few new videos on flash photography.

Is this a trend? Flash photography is not trendy these days?

I see all kinds of new stuff.  Photography was also hot around 2008-2016, that might be why there is a gap.

The two later developments in flash technologies were
TTL and radio remote dating 5+ years ago. New videos
would only repeat the others.

I invested almost 7 grands in a three head OCF system
this year… a third OCF location kit. To say that flash is
not trendy you possibly don't take pictures for a living.
