I really don't get the fuss about CFE. These are for the next generation of
buffers /cameras… compatible today but performing tomorrow.

I met a birder at the marsh during the weekend. He was explain-
ing loudly how happy he is with the CFE card: soooooo fast!

When I asked him "How fast?" He pulled out his card and read me
the numbers on it. "Does it translate in a higher frame rate?" I asked.
"Yes, of course!" was his reply. He too had the D850!!!

It's more about video than stills. 4K and higher frame rates for video require these newer cards to keep up. It's not about frame rate for stills imaging.

I doubt even that would be a benefit with the D850.
Possibly when transferring files, though.
