Nikon Z7 with 19,XXX shots shuts down on own

4 months 3 weeks ago #720584 by Choff
I came here yesterday to ask the question about my Z7 and got side tracked on another topic.  So I have a couple of these cameras and with the exception of this one problem, these cameras have been flawless.  That said, one of the cameras will shut down on its own, and the only way to get it to turn on is switch on and off.  You can press shutter, menu buttons, nothing works expect turn on and off.

Any idea what might be the root of this?

It's a long shot, but have you updated the camera to latest firmware?

Firmware wouldn't do this would it?

Firmware are a blessing… maybe it will not change much in this ca-
se but won't make it worse. After the firmware, a "reset to factory
default" is the next step. If that doesn't work… ship it to repair.

Light is free… capturing it is not!
