hello everyone
I'm a new member of photographytalk community
I'm Ghassen, 30 years old, from Tunisia.I began with photography 3 years ago. I take mainly people & portrait shots.
I hope learning from everyone here and share with you my knowledge and love for photography

I will start with some photos from my first try of backlight shooting session, and look forward for your critiques

#1 is quite nice :thumbsup:

#2 & #3 - I'm not comfortable with slicing off faces.  Is this some new style on social media?

#4 - It look like a reflector was used, and placed low, below the face.  This resulted in shading on the face that looks unnatural.  Also try the reflector above the face.

slicing off faces is not really a new style on social media hhhhh .... it looks weird when I look at them again ^^
I will try other reflector positions

It's well established that Kelly has cropping issues. :evil:

I like #2, but for both #2 and #3 I think they would have been more successful with her looking into the frame, rather than out of. As they are, the images do come across as a "miss", rather than intentional.

I find #1 the most successful overall. They're all a bit too orange for me, and I really dislike the lens flare in the last one. But I have flare issues, and I embrace that.

Those are very nice ghassen and I like the partial face images. They work just fine for me. You have a very pretty model too. Looking forward to more.

I really like the first and fourth images. The first image works the best out of the bunch for me.
