Social Distancing on the 4th

This gentleman was out and about on the 4th with his eagle shirt. Heat index was in the upper 90's today and I thought I would smother in the stupid mask. I would uncover when no one was near but it was still a pain in the arse. Processed trying to mimic Portra film stock.

While we can't see much of what is around him, I think you've captured a mood here that evokes a certain sense of loneliness. Well done.

I like the colors. Can you define "processed for Portra"?

It's a softer slightly less saturated feel to me. Look up Nick Carver's stuff on Youtube. He uses Portra a lot a lot on large format images. Ian Howorth on IG does a lot in Portra as well. He has a style that reminds me of Eggleston. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I like the tones of the images. I'm also trying to replicate the Fuji Classic Negative look in some other images. It has more blue in the greens of the images and a slightly harsher contrast.

Lightroom does the majority. Probably 90-95%. I prefer doing my dodging, burning and resizing in Photoshop. Sometimes if I think I need it I will run ACR as a filter within Photoshop. I keep things fairly simple. I probably spend the majority of my time editing in the HSL panel in Lightroom.
