Help with colour grading

Hi all, could anyone recommend any tips for how I could make this photo 'stand out'? At the moment it's quite bland and I've tried loads of things but can't seem to make it look right.

Colour grading is not where you need help here, dan, but with exposure
prior to SR. You should learn to use your best friend, the histogram.

Better results may be expected when working from the RAW file.

I agree! The tweak in exposure is a key here.

I faced similar issues many times. It is good to tick the color check box properly when converting a raw file into a Tiff or PSD. You can improve the color from the Photoshop Filter option, light exposure and brightness contrast can get rid of you out of the problem.
