Nice work with doing what I said and not falling into the "wait till they sleep" trap. :D

1. Good. Nice shallow DOF use. Artistic, but maybe babies aren't the best choice for a half head shot... because I found myself clicking it to see if there was more.
2. shame about that hand in the way. I'm not a fan of the really faded colour. I think you should have gone more saturated or fully B&W.
3. Herein lies (geddit?!) a problem with shooting new born babies. Which way to rotate the picture. ;) Seems like a touch too much background in this shot.
4. Interesting use of light, but it's underexposed and a bit too tight on the crop (or too loose, depending on how you look at it).
5. Good, but way too underexposed.

I like the crop actually. maybe a little more on the bottom and right to put the eye more in the third.

I would try a more creative angle on both 1 & 3. It is probably to late for 1, I would have liked to have seen a little bit of the other eye (the peek a boo type look) & a slight angle might have accomplished that. On 3 try a slight rotation in PS to see how that feels to ya. (I have found that with newborns, rotate so that the head is more upward, so that it doesn't leave the viewer feeling as if the baby is falling out of the picture.) I would also adjust the levels in 5 to bring out the midtones & correct the under-exposure. Otherwise great job. I love that you got down on the baby's level.
