Funny thing is I'm the same way Dori!!! And my hubby knows not even to ask me if he can take a pic with it!!! I have let him take pics with it, however he was really nervous as well! But to any other family members or friends that would be a H E double hockey sticks NO!!!!! Sorry everyone but my camera/gear is my baby!!! Can't separate myself from it!

I agree with you one thousand percent. My cameras are an extension of me, and I would NEVER lend them to anyone..my lenses either!

Accidents do happen, I value my camera to much to risk that.

I'm with you on the motorcycles, and I would lend my cheaper Fuji to a friend, but not my Nikon.

I shoot with a D70 body still. It's not getting loaned out either. ;)

It is what it is.

There is only 2 people in the world I would let touch my gear. My girl and friend Reid (He's a pro).

I have made this mistake couple of times i.e. lending camera kit to a friend and both resulted in disaster. But I have a spare kit that I can lend but never my personal kit. That is forbidden even to my wife.

No, I've heard of too many people getting their loaned items back in a non-functional state, not only expensive camera equipment.

The only person that touches my camera besides me is my grandaughter. She has always respected my gear and hers as well but we have switched camera's now and again but never without each other. I don't know if she trusts me either:cheer: Strangers never, even friends, never. I would not have a prob saying no.
