A trip to disney...what to take?

I'm taking my vacation next summer to Disney World with the family. Out of the lenses I have.. 18-135 and 70-300. Which one would be better to take? or should I just buy a point and shoot for this family vacation?

Well the decision is completely up to you, but out of the two lenses you will probably only need to use the 18-135. However, your best bet is to buy a P&S. It's easy to carry, compact, you can still zoom, place in your pocket when going on rides etc..

You're so right about the point and shoot. And if the kids bug to use the camera to take their own pictures, I won't be too afraid to let them use it compare to use my DSLR.

Take everything you got... Disney is a target rich environment with a variety of photo ops. I use a 18-270mm lens. Believe me the zoom gets a real workout. There are interior shot, low light, and outside panoramas to capture. For the Animal kingdom you might want a bit of a telephoto to get some of the monkeys on their island. Believe it or not you might need a tripod to catch some of the evening/nighttime shots. Sheesh - I'm getting excited talking about it.

Last year we had an annual pass to the Disney World parks. Next year we are getting another one as it really gives the most bang for the buck.

Yes, I am a confirmed Disneyphile...:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
