Found this...dont know if it helps....this was for a computer lcd screen not sure if its the same for the lcd screen on the back of digital cameras. Maybe someone else could suggest an alternative.

If you have a digital SLR and the scratches are bad, i would consider going to the manufacturer and pricing a new screen.

But the 1st article is about LCD screens....computer monitor

here are two ways to remove scratches on your LCD screen:

1. First of all apply diluted isopropyl alcohol (50/50 with water) with a clean cotton cloth on the surface of the screen. This should make the surface clear of any dirt and then you can put Vaseline in the trough of scratch. Gently wipe the Vaseline left off the scratch. This should fill the scratch with Vaseline and you can again enjoy gaming or watching videos on your screen.

2. You can also do this trick to get you rid of the scratch if the scratch is particularly harsh. Start with cleaning the surface with diluted isopropyl alcohol (50/50 with water) as mentioned in previous way. Apply a bit of auto rubbing compound the scratched surface and polish the area. After that, use a piece of paper and make a very small hole (5mm) in its centre to spray clear lacquer on the surface. Leave the surface to dry after that.

These techniques should help and you must read the instruction manual of the LCD manufacturer before applying any cleaning agent on the screen.

OR

Put a protective film over the lcd screen should hide the scratches and protect against new ones

Found :P THIS

i have removed a small scratch from a pair of glasses using a nail file, the kind use for buffing/shining fingernails. But then again, they were a cheap pair of readers.

They make several kits for "renovating" plastic auto headlights. One contains a very lild polishing compound, a buffer and a polishing cloth. The other a liquid compound and several mildly abrasive pads, then a sealing liquid. I have used both on headlights with good results. I liked the first one better. Find them in the auto polish section and try on a tiny corner first.
They are made for storing the clarity of plastic.

Good luck.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thanks for the info guys. I had small scratches and a big scratch on an older DSLR awhile back (which I finally got rid of). I had no clue how to get rid of those scratches. They were actually annoying the F out of me. lol It's partly the reason I upgraded to a new camera. But now I know how, and next time I get scratch I'll use methods mention. Thanks.
