When is the last time you shot with a 35mm film camera?

Cleaning out the my office closet I found my old Nikon 35mm film camera, I'm tempted to get some film and have some fun with this.

Does anyone even shoot film any more?

Yesterday. - seriously!! We've been discussing this lately, some of us do. I use mostly film, manual focus cameras. It's pretty easy anymore I think to either get your negatives scanned onto a CD when you get the film developed or scan them in yourself.

I can still find basic Kodak and Fuji film at stores in my area, and have bought film from places like B&H, Adorama, Freestyle, etc.

July, 2006 was the last time I used my 35mm Widelux. It makes a 58mm long frame on regular 35mm film. I continued to shoot with medium format and 4x5 through 2007, but once I switched to 35mm digital even that fell by the wayside.

Sometime in 2004 would have been the last time I used a 35mm SLR. That was the year I first bought an APS-C format DSLR, and almost immediately I liked it better than 35mm film. I had given up on 35mm film (except for the Widelux) for personal work several years before, but I still used it to cover wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Last night a friend called and asked me I had a 35mm SLR his daughter could use. Her photography class (high school I assume) didn't have enough cameras for everyone. I dug around in my collection, and found her a Pentax K-1000. I ran it through the paces to make sure it worked, but didn't actually load it up.

Edit: They told me this will be the last year that the high school photography class will be film based.

I still shoot 35mm.... until I get my mamiya 645af. Every image on my website is from 35mm Minolta equipment.
Christmas day was the last time I shot. I'm getting an itchy trigger finger

I am shooting with both film and digital lately. Film for me is more a curiosity than anything, have learned photography in the digital era. Using film has taught me to slow down and visualize what my shot will look like at the very moment the shutter is fired, and it is a lot of fun for me right now too.

It is what it is.

Now that I found software to enable my scanner in Windows7, I'll shoot again, probably this weekend.
