Determining what gear to bring with you on vacation?
I've never been to Hawaii and already thinking about all the pretty photos I'm going to be able to take. Then I come back to my gear, how do you decide what to bring and what not to bring when traveling? Bringing everything will be a lot, and in my head I can think of a purpose for each lens, filter etc., but will I actually use it when I get there? Or will I just lug my big ol heavy camera bag full of all my gear down there only to use a couple items?How did you pick what to bring during your last travel?
Your profile doesn't list any equipment, so I have no idea what your options are. However, I would want my DSLR, a tripod, a good wide angel lens (zoom or prime) and a good normal lens. A polarizing filter for both. All of that ought to fit in a small backpack. If you want to skimp on anything for space, maybe swap the tripod for a tabletop type tripod. (I've used the GorillaPod - it is small and good for what it is.)
