menu ideas

If a restaurant asks me to shoot their products for their menu and advertising, does it seem fair to charge this:

$15/ hour to shoot and edit
plus $6 per photo wanted on a CD?

Basically, I would shoot and edit and then they would choose the images that they wanted and I would charge them by that.

I only shoot fashion, but what you are charging seems very cheap, IMO. I think you should increase the prices.

I think also that you are under charging for your work. I would charge $35/hr and think you need to have a profit margin between 50-100% of your costs( taxes, gas, travel time, materials, etc.)

Thank you Rob. I was thinking about the prices over night and realized what I was going to charge is too low.

I think I'm going to charge $50/hr and your right about the profit margin. The easiest way is to burn the photos on cd. I need to do some searching on cost of stock images. This would be a stock image right?

I mean everything I will be shooting, they will be using for their company in some form of way. Usually companies buy stock pictures to advertise for their company.
